F1 NATION: Max vs McLaren for the win and ‘F1 The Movie’ hits the big screen – it’s our Austrian Grand Prix preview

Date:

After a well deserved weekend off, Formula 1 is back with the Austrian Grand Prix as racing returns to Europe. TheF1 Nation crew are here to discuss all of the big talking points ahead of the Grand Prix at the Red Bull Ring.

Host Tom Clarkson is joined by former Renault driver Jolyon Palmer and F1 TV’s lead presenter Laura Winter to discuss all the stories going into the weekend.

What’s next for McLaren after the collision between Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri in Canada and how will that affect their championship battle going forward? And does it mean McLaren will change their approach to racing?

Palmer also talks through the characteristics of the Red Bull Ring, explaining why the first few corners provide so much action and why we can expect lots of overtaking.

There will also be plenty of attention on Max Verstappen and whether he will be fighting the McLarens for his fifth win in Spielberg. Mercedes will also want to build on their first victory of the year in Montreal, while Ferrari will hope to secure a fourth podium in a row at this track.

Plus, ahead of this week’s release of F1 The Movie with Brad Pitt, Clarkson has been speaking to two of the film’s stars, Damson Idris and Kerry Condon.
